PRE BALLET - for ages 3 ½ -5, combines elements of dance with music, sound, imagery, and props to teach basic Ballet motor skills, movement patterns, rhythm, balance and dynamics. By exploring rhythms and styles, this class prepares children for all Level I classes, including Ballet, Jazz and Tap.
BALLET (Levels I, II and III) - for ages 5 -11. Placement is made according to age and experience.
BALLET (Levels IV and V) *(Per Instructor) are upper level classes. More than one ballet class per week is highly recommended.  Placement will be made at Instructor’s discretion.
BALLET (Level VI) - *(Per Instructor) Most Advanced - Ballet Technique and Pointe.
BASIC BALLET TECHNIQUE - for Beginner to Intermediate.
BASIC POINTE - for Beginner to Intermediate. An introductory class for learning Basic Pointe Skills. Must be enrolled in another Ballet Technique class.
PRE-POINTE - for ages 8 - 9 with at least 2 years of ballet training in preparation for going up on pointe.
BEG. POINTE – for ages 10 - 12 with at least 2 “consecutive” years of ballet training.  Placement will be made at Instructor’s discretion.
2ND YR. POINTE – for ages 11 – 13 with at least one year of prior Pointe experience.
POINTE & VARIATIONS – for levels IV, V and VI. This class is in addition to, not in place of Ballet    Technique.  Class consists of advanced level pointe work and learning dances from the classical repertoire.

*JAZZ*
BEG. JAZZ - for ages 6 –8, An introductory class to basic Jazz technique using upbeat music. No previous experience needed.
JAZZ/TAP COMBINATION - for ages 6-8.  An introductory class to learning two styles of dance within one class. .  No previous experience is required.
JAZZ TECHNIQUE – for ages 9 – 12. An introductory class to learning basic Jazz technique using fun, high energy music. No previous Jazz experience required.
JR. LEVEL JAZZ - for ages 10 - 13. With at least 1 to 3 years previous Jazz experience required.
SR. LEVEL JAZZ – *(Per Instructor) - Most Advanced, with at least 3 – 4 years Jazz experience required. Ballet pre-requisite. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
CONTEMPORARY JAZZ – for ages 12 & up. A blend of current freestyle jazz with an upbeat, “world beat” dance influence.
MODERN - *(Per Instructor) - Explore the varying techniques in classical modern dance while being infused with current trends in modern dance. Ballet pre-requisite. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

*(Per Instructor) – Placement must be approved by Instructor.

*TAP*
BEG. TAP – for ages 9 – 12, An introductory class to learning basic Rhythmic style tap.
JAZZ/TAP COMBINATION - for ages 6-8.  No previous experience is required.  An introductory class to learning two styles of dance within one class.
JR. LEVEL TAP – for ages 10 -13. With at least 1 – 3 years previous Tap experience. Rhythm style tap – exploring the beats in music while incorporating your feet to blend the sounds.
SR. LEVEL TAP – *(Per Instructor) - Most Advanced. with at least 3 – 4 years Tap experience required. Recommended for ages 14 and up.

*(Per Instructor) – Placement must be approved by Instructor.

*HIP HOP*
HIPPITY HOPPITY – for ages 7-9.  Beginner Hip Hop. Lots of Fun!
HIP HOP – for ages 10 and up.  A high energy street dance with the use of today’s popular music and styles. Music is age-appropriate and all “radio” edited!
HIP HOP – *(Per Instructor) Most Advanced.

*(Per Instructor) – Placement must be approved by Instructor.

MODERN - *(Per Instructor) - Explore the varying techniques in classical modern dance while being infused with current trends in modern dance. Ballet pre-requisite. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
*PILATES*
CLASSICAL PILATES - Develop core strength and achieve uniformity throughout the body. Develop muscle tone. Exercise’s tailored to individual needs. Appropriate for all age groups.
*ZUMBA®*
ZUMBA – for Teens and Adults, train with our own certified Zumba instructors. A Latin inspired cardio workout with great music, easy-to-follow dance moves, and toning benefits.


2008 – 2009 Dress Codes

PRE-BALLET – Pink or Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.
BALLET - Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.
JAZZ - Leotard and tights/jazz pants, any dance shoe or split sole jazz shoes (no tennis shoes).
ADV. JAZZ – Leotard, convertible tights under dance shorts, toe socks (No shoes).
MODERN – Leotard, convertible tights under dance shorts, bare feet, (NO shoes)
TAP - Comfortable clothes; low heeled tap shoes, preferably oxford style. (No jeans).
HIP HOP - Comfortable clothing (no jeans), “clean” aerobic tennis shoes or dance sneakers with socks. NO BLACK-SOLED SHOES unless they are “dance sneakers”. Knee pads (with your name on them) are required for all ages!
PILATES – Comfortable workout clothing, No shoes (socks are okay). Must provide your own “Pilates” mat.
ZUMBA - Comfortable lightweight workout clothing, “clean” aerobic tennis shoes or dance sneakers with socks. NO BLACK-SOLED SHOES unless they are “dance sneakers”.
Boys - White T-shirt, loose fitting black pants or black shorts and appropriate footwear, (NO jeans).

Additional Information:

Long hair must be back off face in ponytail or bun for ALL classes.
NO JEANS in any class.
ALL clothing and footwear must have child’s FULL NAME in them.
Check “Lost & Found” seasonally!
Students MUST wear the appropriate footwear for which ever class they are enrolled in.
