The West End Academy of Dance 1) You must notify the studio IN WRITING when withdrawing your child from any class, switching classes or when changing your address, email address or phone number. This is the ONLY acceptable notification. 2) Once a semester has begun, tuition refunds are made ONLY for medical reasons due to physical impairment. A doctor’s certificate is requested. Refunds can only be made on a pro-rata basis from the date of written notification. 3) We assume every student will continue Spring Semester, unless we have written notice by: December 1, 2010. After such time, if we do not receive written notification, you are confirming your place in class for the ENTIRE YEAR (Fall & Spring). You will be responsible for all tuition and costume balances. 4) A costume will be ordered for each student, for each class in which they are currently enrolled in. If you do not wish to participate in the recital, we need written notice by: December 1, 2010. No Exceptions! 5) Class observation will be permitted only on “Parent Visitation” days and/or by permission of instructor. 6) Class placement is made at the discretion of the Instructor and the Studio’s Director. Decisions are based on age and previous training. Class size is limited and classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. 7) Student’s first AND last name must be put on ALL OF THEIR BELONGINGS brought to the studio, especially coats, shoes and ballet slippers. The school is NOT responsible for lost clothing or personal articles. Please do not bring or wear any jewelry to the studio. Remember to check “Lost and Found” regularly. 8) All classes will start and finish promptly. Students must come early enough to be dressed and ready at least TEN MINUTES before class starts. No student will be permitted to take class if they arrive more than 15 MINUTES late. 9) Please notify the studio of any illness or injury that could affect your child’s ability to perform. 10) West End Academy of Dance has its own calendar year. We will close ONLY when Henrico County Public Schools close DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER and remain closed until Henrico County re-opens. We ARE open on “Teacher Work Days” and “Henrico County School Holidays” that fall on Mondays! If you are in question, please call the studio. #740-0842 11) SMOKING is PROHIBITED in the studio and in the office. GUM CHEWING is PROHIBITED in class. These rules are for the student’s safety, please help us enforce them. 12) Please DO NOT leave small children UNATTENDED in the office or waiting area. 13) Please follow Drop-off / Pick-up procedure. (See Map). Please, DO NOT park in the parking lot and signal your child to run across the parking lot. Our alley is very busy and delivery trucks drive behind our building frequently. 14) NO STUDENTS are allowed to wait outside after their class is over. Please use the carpool lane. The carpool lane is for drop-off and pick-up ONLY. 15) If you have a student driver, please encourage them to be aware of their surroundings, especially when it starts getting dark outside. We have lots of little dancers running around and a lot of heavy traffic during studio hours. |
