Our June intensives are quickly approaching, are you signed up!

June 3-14 9am-5pm |Open to advanced dancers ages 12-18 in the RVA community!

Our June Intensive is highly recommended for our WEAD Ballet VI and up dancers but open to non-WEAD dancers as well! This two-week program gives dancers a true summer intensive experience with a full day of dancing 9am to 5pm including ballet and pointe daily and master classes in a variety of genres such as modern, contemporary, hip hop, even salsa! This year, we’re building in more lesson-based classes such as anatomy and injury prevention, nutrition, mindfulness, and more. All tailored to young dancers who, on a daily basis, are working their bodies and minds in very specific ways. Dancers will rehearse repertory daily with Artistic Director, Lisa Rumbauskas, culminating in an in-house showcase on Friday, June 14th.

This year, our intensive is open to the RVA dance community. You don’t have to be a regular season WEAD dancer in order to participate. But you must possess the desire to work hard and to grow as both a dancer and as an individual. This is for advanced dancers ages 12 and up.

Congratulations WEAD Ensemble dancers on a fabulous weekend of performances! Our debut of Alice in Wonderland and Other Works was a huge success with 4 sold out shows. You should be so proud of yourselves!

Miss Lisa @lisarumba, thank you for your creative vision and all the time and energy you put into making this a wonderful production and more importantly, a wonderful experience for our students.

Thank you to all the faculty, staff, tech crew, and parent volunteers who helped make it all happen. We couldn’t do it without you!
