Frequently Asked Questions

As early as age 3.5, we see children ready to independently go into class and follow the teacher's instruction without the parent/guardian. We love being able to nurture children this young, but of course, welcome students of all ages - even adults.

Dance offers students a total body workout that allows them to explore new movements, improve coordination and rhythm, increase memory and build strength and endurance. Beyond physical development, our students also benefit emotionally by having the opportunity to express themselves freely, and socially by interacting and working with others in class. Dance is an activity that often stays with students for a lifetime.

No, we do not subscribe to dance competitions. We pride ourselves on being a "non-competitive" dance studio, offering students professional instruction with personal guidance to help them meet their dance goals.

Each year we alternate between a Spring Festival and Recital. The Spring Festival showcases a dance from every class, as well as a night dedicated to the Ballet Department. The Recital year combines every class to interpret a unique story the WEAD faculty has created.

These much anticipated performances allow our students an opportunity to share all they've learned with friends, family and the community. We always look forward to seeing our students' hard work pay off on stage.
